Bailey, together with Canadian mathematicians Peter Borwein and Simon Plouffe, found a new formula for pi. This formula permits one to calculate the n-th binary or hexadecimal digits of pi, without having to calculate any of the preceding n-1 digits. This formula was discovered by a computer, using Bailey's implementation of Ferguson's PSLQ algorithm. More recently (2001), Bailey and colleague Richard Crandall of Reed College have shown that the existence of this new formula has significant implications for the age-old question: Are the digits of pi random?" On this site you can test the theories by doing a hexadeximal or character search of pi. Egotron http://www.egotron.com/ which one should we buy: a TiVo or a ReplayTV unit? SendKeys "{TAB 5}{RIGHT 2}"
Dialogs(wdDialogFileNew).Show
End Sub

{Create hard links}
Some programs don't like shortcuts. It seems to be a
diminishing characteristic in newer programs, but there is still
the occasional application that won't work unless you access the
program file directly. With CHLExt you can get around this problem
by making a "hard link" to the file. A hard link is like a
shortcut, but it's NTFS-based, so as far as the troublesome
program is concerned, it thinks that this hard-linked file is the
same as the original.
