Hello From The Pres …



As almost everyone knows, Leonard Hill, our current Newletter Editor had a stroke after the last Board Meeting. He is recovering and he is going to try to make it to the meeting if he is feeling up to it… I’m late with my article as usual, so I decided to let Leonard rest and I would just send out this article / reminder to everyone…



DECEMBER = HOLIDAY PARTY



As we get closer and closer to the Holidays, I seem to be eating more and more. So I’m looking forward to our annual Holiday party. I have the list of food that everyone signed up for and I’m not going to list them here. If you forgot what you signed up for, please email me at Michael.S.Taphorn@jci.com so I can send you an e-mail before the meeting. Be at the meeting at 6 PM so we can all enjoy our food at a more reasonable hour. This Is the only meeting that starts early and it really is just a party so make sure you get there early and enjoy all the festivities…

Make sure you come, because Santa already dropped off a prize for everyone that comes to the meeting. You can claim your prize when you get there.

ELECTION RESULTS



We had Elections at our November Meeting. Thanks to everyone that participated and to those that ran for office. Here is the list of winners:

There are two more Member at Large positions to fill at the discretion of the board. One position we were looking at giving to a MAL is the “Prize purchaser” position. We are still discussing the MAL’s so let me know if you are interested in getting free dues for one year…



HOLIDAY RAFFLE



Normally we hold a 50-50 drawing at the meetings. This month we have a few prizes that are worth more than the average door prizes. In order to cover our costs, we are going to have a $2 each (or $5 for 3 tickets) raffle. We currently have a Scanner, a small TV, A 48X CD Burner and a whole bunch more in the Raffle Prize box. Don’t miss it, you’ll be sorry if you do…

COMPUTER SHOW = SUCCESS



Thanks to everyone that worked the booth at the computer show. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and had fun helping others. I know at times it gets a little frustrating, but, the by working at the booth, you learn a little and help a lot. The looks on the faces of the people that we help makes it all worth while. At first they can’t believe it’s free and then they can’t believe that their problems are gone when we are finished. Many of our members joined the club as a result of our efforts and I just wanted to thank everyone that helped out. THANKS!!!
