It is with great remorse that I have to inform you that Bob Havlin died tuesday night.
He was a great member of the club and always there for us when we needed him.
Please try to attend the wake and/or funeral if possible and keep his family in your prayers,
Here are the details:
Dr. Robert Harold Havlin Sr., 66, of Belleville, Ill., born April 16, 1941, in Beardstown, Ill., passed away Tuesday April 15, 2008, while attending the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball game.
Dr. Havlin was an Information Specialist for H.T.C. Technology in Waterloo, Ill., a member of Signal Hill United Methodist Church, Belleville Rotary Club, Computer Club of Fairview Heights, Ill., and MIT Alumni Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Horace Havlin.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, nee Minor, Havlin; daughters, Laura (Paul) Sforza of Belleville, Ill., Nancy (Jeff) McNevin of St. Charles, Mo., and Karen (Tom) Linn of Belleville, Ill.; son, Robert (Tanya Mazur) Havlin Jr. of Washington, D.C.; mother, Norma Jean, nee DeWitt, Havlin of Belleville, Ill.; brother, James (Stacy St. John) Havlin of Street, Md.; grandchildren, Robert Paul Sforza, Bianca Maria Sforza, Margaret Lee McNevin and Katherine Grace McNevin; dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Signal Hill Education Foundation or Signal Hill United Methodist Church.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday April 18, 2008, at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill. and from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Signal Hill United Methodist Church in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the Signal Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peter J. Wehrly officiating. Private family internment.
